Ultrabond Eco 800

Ultrabond Eco800 is a pressure-sensitive type of adhesive that may be applied with a trowel, roller or sprayer. Ultrabond Eco800 offers great release characteristics for easy removal and replacement.

Application/Purpose

For the installation of carpet tile, under-cushion pads in a double glue-down application, and solid vinyl tile.

Benefits/Advantages

Ultrabond Eco 800 can be used on the following substrates:
- Any wood underlayment that is recommended or guaranteed by either the wood underlayment manufacturer or the floor-covering manufacturer, such as exterior- grade plywood, Group 1, CC type.
- Dry Concrete
- Non-cushioned, fully adhered, embossed vinyl sheet goods, properly levelled using MAPEI’s PlanipatchPlus System for light commercial use only.
- A single layer of VCT.
- Properly prepared cement terrazzo

Composition

Proprietary Acrylic Co-Polymer Adhesive. Supplied in 15l pail.

Technical Properties

Technical Data (based on 23oC and 50% relative humidity)

Open time- 20 to 35 minutes
Drying Time- 24 hours (cure time)
Shelf life- 24 mths when stored in original containers at 23oC in a dry, heated area.
Freeze/thaw stability as low as -18oC- stable 5 cycles.
Flash point- Non-flammable solvent free.
Maximum MVER of concrete (ASTM F1869)- 1.36 kg per 92.9m2 per 24 hrs.
Cleanability- clean with water while fresh; with mineral spirits when dried
Colour- Clear with blue tint
Consistency- Semi-liquid

Typical Trowels and approximate coverage:
Smooth-backed vinyl products
1x1.5x1mm trowel notch- 4.53 to 6.0 m2L

Rough-backed Vinyl Products(padding to floor)
1.5x1.5x1.5mm trowel notch- 3.06 to 4.53 m2 L

- When installing a floor requiring permanent bond lay the material into adhesive whilst it is still fresh.
- For installing a floor covering requiring release characteristics wait until adhesive has achieved ‘tack’ before laying flooring into adhesive.
- Roll the flooring with recommended roller to remove trapped air.
