Home > Enclosure > Cladding > Curtain Walling > Concealed grid panel cladding Alpolic/fr Alpolic/fr is the ideal choice as a cladding material for high-rise buildings due to its superior flatness and excellent surface colour uniformity. The continuous laminating process combines aluminium skins with the core resulting in superior flatness. Plus the unique technology of coil coating provides the best quality of colour uniformity, and no surface grain lines. While Alpolic/fr is resistant to reasonable impact loads due to the unique composition, it is also incredibly formable. Cutting, curving, routing, grooving and other procedures are easy with aluminium/woodworking machines. Alpolic®/fr meets fire code requirements because of its non-combustible mineral filled core.

Alpolic is ideal for: -Commercial cladding -High rise cladding -Curtain wall cladding -Interior linings -Signage
Fire Resistance Alpolic/fr meets fire code requirements because of its non-combustible mineral filled core. Impact Resistance Alpolic/fr is impact resistance due to the unique composite construction of strong aluminium skins bonded to a viscoelastic core. Rigidity Alpolic/fr is light and strong sheet material with an specific gravity of 1.2 to 2.0, reducing weight by 40% compared with solid aluminium sheet. Superior Flatness The continuous laminating process combines the 0.5mm aluminium skin with the core to create a consistently flat surface. Colour Conformity The unique technology of coil coating provides the best quality of colour uniformity with no surface grain lines.
ALPOLIC/fr is composed of non-combustible mineral filled core sandwiched between two skins of 0.5mm thick aluminium. Total thickness is 3, 4 or 6mm. The topside is coated with fluorocarbon paint and the backside is a wash coating.
Values are given for 3mm, 4mm and 6mm panel thickness -Specific gravity = 1.99 / 1.90 / 1.81 -Panel weight (Kg/ m²) = 6.0 / 7.6 / 10.9 -Thermal expansion (X10-6/°C) = 24 / 24 / 24 -Apparent thermal conductivity (Kcal/m.hr. °C) = 0.43 / 0.39 / 0.35 -Deflection temperature ( °C) = 116 / 109 / 115 Heat transmission Alpolic help to reduce the energy consumption of buildings. When we use Alpolic for external or internal claddings, the air space between Alpolic and the backing wall forms a thermal insulation layer and increases the wall system’s energy conservation performance. Non-permeability Alpolic is non-permeable. Under humid atmospheric conditions, Alpolic does not absorb moisture at all. Fire performance Alpolic /fr are a fire-safe material that passes mandatory requirements for exterior and interior use in most countries. Although the core material does contain a small amount of combustible polyethylene, the main mineral ingredient does not permit the proliferation of flame and restricts the development of smoke detrimental to evacuation activities.
Ordinary aluminium processing and woodworking tools can be used for the fabrication of the Alpolic panels. Cutting and Grooving Saw cutting, shear cutting, grooving, punching, perforating, and drilling are easily accomplished. Bending or Curving Folding can be done by hand or mechanically after grooving on the back skin using router. Curving requires mechanical processing by pyramid roll bending equipment. Using aluminium or stainless rivet, bolts and/or screws, and several adhesives and two-sided adhesive tapes, to join the panels to different kinds of metals. *Refer to Alpolic Fabrication & Installation Guides for details information
