Work is in progress and results will be published shortly.Firth Certified Concrete® is New Zealand’s largest producer of ready-mix concrete with has more than 60 plants throughout New Zealand and an extensive fleet of trucks and concrete pumps. Firth Blockfill™ is a concrete mix designed specifically for the fill or partial fill of masonry blocks in construction. Firth Blockfill™ is able to supply poured or pumped to virtually any site, from small projects requiring a few cubic metres right through to the largest projects.

Firth Blockfill™ is used to fill reinforced hollow core concrete masonry structures. All concrete masonry requires the cavities to be either solid or partially filled with blockfill.

Firth Blockfill™ is durable and is an inert material comprising aggregates, sand, cement and water. Aggregates and sand are sourced close to manufacturing locations. Cement is New Zealand made. No toxic preservatives required for preventing rot. Firth is committed to sustainability in concrete manufacture and distribution, including the recycling of surplus raw materials, water and leftover concrete. More far reaching benefits include significant energy savings achieved through the thermal mass properties and outstanding durability of concrete.
All concrete masonry requires the cavities to be either solid or partially filled with blockfill. The aggregate for this grout normally has a maximum size of 7mm. Firth Blockfill™ is manufactured to the requirements of NZS 4210: "Masonry Construction: Materials and Workmanship."
Installation should comply with NZS 4210 or project specific technical specification.
