Composition

Sheets of melamine impregnated overlay are bonded to one or both sides of either particle board or medium density fibre board substrate under heat and pressure. The resin on the top surface of the overlay cures, forming a tough, stain resistant surface.

Sheets are identified by Bestwood branding, including colour and other manufacturing details along the panel edges.

There are 5 surface finishes to choose from ranging from a Gloss, slightly textured (Embossed and Velvet), Woodgrain for more authentic woodlooks and the supermatte for a completely flat, softer, matt finish, ideal for the metallics.

Bestwood Melamine can be supplied in a variety of substrates including low formaldehyde emissions MDF and particle board. These are available in a selection of gauges and sizes ensuring the correct option for almost every specification. For a list of available sizes please visit www.bestwood.co.nz.
