Application/Purpose

Dricon OxiTone® is designed for adding colour to concrete, mortar and plaster for jobs such as plastering, footpaths, driveways, mowing strips, kerbing, garden ornaments, jointing for paving slabs and footings for letterboxes and clotheslines.

Benefits/Advantages

Dricon® OxiTone® products are a simple way to add colour to cement based products.

They are weather resistant and colour stable and will not contribute to efflorescence.

Composition

Dricon OxiTone® colourants contain synthetic iron oxide and are manufactured to exacting standards.

Colour range:
Black, Burnt Umber, Chrome Green, Dark Brown, Dark Red, Light Brown, Marigold, White and Yellow.

Technical Properties

Colours in the Dricon OxiTone® range are obtained at 4% pigment to cement weight.

Dricon OxiTone® meets or exceeds standards for the use of colour in cement and building applications.

Installation and Maintenance Summary

Dricon OxiTone® is available in 1 kg jars or 20 kg bags. Actual weights may vary by colour.

Dricon OxiTone® colourants can be used with any concrete products but for best results Dricon MortarPlaster®, the Dricon Trade Mortar® range or Dricon® HandiCrete® are recommended.

Mix Dricon OxiTone® thoroughly with dry ingredients. Add water. Mix until workable consistency is achieved. The water to cement ratio strongly influences colour. Water usage must be consistent from batch to batch to avoid colour variation. Natural cement colour also affects the final concrete colour; white cement will produce a brighter result than grey Portland cement.
