Work is in progress and results will be published shortly.The Dricon® range of mortars includes six unique products. Each is a blend of clean graded sand, cement and plasticiser proportioned to give an ideal mortar for particular uses. In some cases they include oxides for specific colours. Dricon Trade Mortar® is for all types of masonry, brick and stonework. Dricon® Coloured Trade Mortar™. Dricon® Clay Brick Trade Mortar is for use with clay bricks. Dricon® MonierBrick® Coloured Trade Mortar™ is for matching or contrasting with MonierBrick® products. Dricon MortarPlaster® is for use as a mortar or plaster mix. Dricon SuperSet® is a high strength, shrinkage compensated mortar.

Dricon Trade Mortar® and Dricon® Coloured Trade Mortar™ are suitable for all types of masonry, brick and stonework. Dricon® Clay Brick Trade Mortar and Dricon® MonierBrick® Coloured Trade Mortar™ are specifically for use with clay bricks and where colour is an important factor in the finished result. Dricon MortarPlaster® is ideal for plaster, bricks, blocks, stone, roughcast and repair work. Dricon SuperSet® Hi Strength Mortar is formulated for applications requiring a quick set and the development of high strength within a two-hour time frame.
The Dricon® range of mortars provides the convenience of a pre-mixed product and saves time, reduces mess and minimises wastage. Dricon® Coloured Trade Mortar™ and Dricon® MonierBrick® Coloured Trade Mortar™ provide the flexibility of either a contrasting brick and mortar appearance, or a well-matched finish suiting the current trend towards monolithic exteriors. These products are formulated specifically to provide the best possible colour match for particular concrete masonry or clay brick products. Dricon SuperSet® is extra strong and minimises operational disruption. Dricon® Coloured Trade Mortar™ and Dricon® MonierBrick® Coloured Trade Mortar™ provide the flexibility of either a contrasting brick and mortar appearance, or a well-matched finish suiting the current trend towards monolithic exteriors. These products are formulated specifically to provide the best possible colour match for particular concrete masonry or clay brick products.

Colours* available: Dricon® Coloured Trade Mortar™: Cream, White, Antique White, Light Brown, Dark Brown, Black and Hinuera. Customised colours are available on request. Dricon® MonierBrick® Coloured Trade Mortar™: MonierBrick Cream, MonierBrick White, MonierBrick Red, MonierBrick Dark Brown, MonierBrick Red Brown, MonierBrick Grey and MonierBrick Matakana. Dricon Trade Mortar®, Dricon® Coloured Trade Mortar™, Dricon® Clay Brick Trade Mortar and Dricon® MonierBrick® Coloured Trade Mortar™ all meet the requirements of NZS 4210 for a 28 Day Strength of at least 12.5 MPa. Dricon MortarPlaster® has a 28 Day Strength of 15 MPa. Dricon Superset® Hi Strength Mortar achieves a compressive strength of 12 MPa after two hours, 28 MPa after 24 hours, 55 MPa after seven days and 60+ MPa after 28 days. The working time for Dricon SuperSet® is approximately 10 to 15 minutes at 21o Celsius.
Dricon® mortars are designed to give maximum spreadability and workability for brick and blocklaying purposes. Mix in wheelbarrow, concrete mixer or on smooth clean surface. Board life in normal weather conditions is 30-35 minutes. Dricon Superset® Hi Strength Mortar For repair work remove all unsound material. Dampen area to ensure a good bond. It is recommended entire contents of pail be mixed. If using a part pail, thoroughly mix dry contents ensuring no segregation, weigh amount used and proportion water accordingly. Following initial set, keep moist and protect from sun and wind for 2 hours. Working time approximately 10-15 minutes.
