For nearly 50 years Cavalier Bremworth has built its reputation by combining colour, pattern, texture and design to create beautiful carpets using only the best New Zealand wool – made right here in New Zealand. The company maintains control over the entire manufacturing process, from buying the wool at the farm gate to scouring and dyeing, spinning the yarn, then tufting the carpet and distributing it through our network of Warranted Dealers. In every facet of our business we continually strive to improve and remain the benchmark by which all others are measured.

Application/Purpose

Cavalier Bremworth has products to suit a wide variety of residential and/or commercial installations. From the floors of New Zealand homes, to commercial applications such as universities, schools, hospitals, offices, and retirement villages, Cavalier Bremworth has options for almost any installation.

Installation and Maintenance Summary

Cavalier Bremworth only uses the best wool for superior appearance retention and resistance to soiling over the lifetime of the product.

Correct installation by a professional carpet layer is essential to ensure our carpet looks and performs the way it is designed to.

For residential maintenance weekly vacuuming should suffice. For maintenance in commercial applications, please refer to our website or talk to your Cavalier Bremworth Sales Executive.

Greenbuild Environmental Assessment
SUSTAINS NATURAL HABITAT This category is not part of the Environmental Choice Scope of Study and is deemed “Not applicable”.
MINIMISES GREENHOUSE GASES / ENERGY USE Cavalier Bremworth products with Environmental Choice certification have a reduced total useful energy consumption. (less than 4GJ per tonne of greasy wool scoured.)
LOW HEALTH RISK Cavalier Bremworth products with Environmental Choice certification are low VOC and contribute to maintaining good Indoor Air Quality in buildings.
LIMITS POLLUTION Wool scouring operations use environmentally-preferable detergents. Effluents are pre-treated, then contained in tanks prior to discharge, thus achieving strong reductions in Biological Oxygen Demand and suspended solids. A plan for continual discharge improvement is being implemented. Chemical Oxygen Demand from the dyeing process effluents also meet stringent Environmental Choice criteria. The dyeing process minimizes or eliminates the use of chromium, fluorochemicals, organophsosphate and organochlorine.
RESOURCE EFFICIENT Cavalier Bremworth products with Environmental Choice certification have a reduced water intake for wool scouring. Spinning lubricants for wool yarn is also minimized throughout.

Green Star NZ Credit Approval
Please note the information below provides an indication of 'potential points' under Green Star Office Design V.1. Green Star NZ points are weighted by the environmental significance of the category they are in. Each point contributes to the total overall score of the project but are not absolute. For further understanding of the Green Star rating tools, Greenbuild strongly recommends that users attend an 'Introduction to Green Star' seminar. Greenbuild has reviewed this product and confirms its potential contribution to points under the following credit categories:
IEQ-13	Up to three points are awarded where it is demonstrated that various finishes meet the benchmarks for low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) content. One point is awarded for each criterion below that is achieved: • 95% of all painted surfaces are low-VOC paints OR no paint is used; • All carpets are low-VOC OR no carpet is installed; and/or • All adhesives and sealants are low-VOC OR no adhesives/sealants are used.
Mat-9	One point is awarded where it can be demonstrated that 90% or more of the carpets used are independently certified as having lower environmental impact than standard carpets, as verified through a materials certification body recognised by the NZGBC (e.g. NZ Environmental Choice). If carpets are not part of the project’s contract/lease then this credit is ‘Not Applicable’
