The revolutionary low profile flat surfaced sill removes the requirement for channels and tracks at the sill of the doors and windows. All operating gear is located at the top allowing for greater performance, easy cleaning and maintenance. The Foldback Bifold has taken the traditional bifold door and advanced the technology to allow the panels to travel past the 90 degree point and rest flat against the building. This removes all obstacles and obstructions from decks, walkways and patios. Sloped trays for continuous drainage and a continuous drainage gap rather than holes or slots. Optional bottom rolling system also available.
All framing, sashes and structural members are extruded aluminium profiles. Extrusions are surface finished with durable powdercoating or anodising to selected grades and colours. Internal timber reveals (if fitted) are as selected and treated if required. Glazing and weather seals are elastomeric or woven pile. Glass type is as selected, either single glazing, double glazing or a selection of high performance glasses. Fittings and hardware are predominantly surface finished cast zinc, moulded plastic, plated brass based, aluminium or stainless steel.
Extreme weather and structural performance as standard. This product is suitable for all wind zone areas but has been designed for use in extreme applications such as residential specific design wind zones and commercial or apartment buildings. Thermally efficient when fitted with double glazing or high performing glass types. Has the capability to accept large space IGU’s. Acoustic performance enhanced by glass selection. Extruded and coated aluminium has proven durability and will deliver high performance. Fittings and hardware carefully selected for New Zealand’s marine environment.
Install in accordance with the manufacturers specific installation instructions. Window and door frames must be fully supported by proprietary brackets or suitable alternative support. Regular washing with a mild pH neutral detergent to remove surface contaminants. Apply by hand or with wash brush. Never use water blasters or high pressure hoses on or around the window or door units. Avoid paint or plaster splashes. Never use scrapers, abrasive cleaning products or solvent based cleaners.
