Application/Purpose

Lees Encycle is a robust extra heavy duty modular carpet tile suitable for the most demanding high traffic commercial environments including: Education facilities, Retail/Hospitality, Corporate, Healthcare and Aged Care facilities (available with Bio-Guard an intensely anti-microbial agent for infection control and critically sterile environments).
Lees is ideal for areas experiencing problems with moisture, mould, mildew, static interference, staining, caster chair use, incontinence and soiling.

Lees Encycle has Duracolor a patented stain removal system exclusive only to Lees. Duracolor leaves carpet looking fresher for longer further extending the life of your carpet.

100% recyclable with NZ recycle depot drop off facilities taking back all Lees carpets for recycling.

Composition

Lees Encycle Modular Carpet tiles is a revolutionary non-PVC, non-bitumen, low VOC, 100% Closed-Loop recycled modular carpet tile backing with Antron Legacy 6,6 Nylon Face fibre and Lees Duracolor patented stain removal technology. With a minimum of 35% recycle content this exceeds the Environmental Choice NZ recycle content requirements.
Dematerialization is defined as one creating the same product with the same aesthetic look and function using less raw virgin material. Encycle uses 28% less virgin raw material than traditional PVC modular carpet tiles making Encycle products a model of dematerialization.

-Fire Reaction: NZ BS4790 – Low radius of Ignition
US Class 1 certified for Health and Aged Care facilities.
-Wear Warranties: Lifetime wear including Edge Ravel, Tuft Bind, Dimensional Stability, Pile Loss <10% no chair pads required wet or dry, Delamination and Adhesive Bond.
-Anti-Static Warranty: Lifetime
-Anti-microbial Warranty: Lifetime
-Stain Removal Warranty: Lifetime
-Light Resistance Warranty: 10 Years includes resistance to atmospheric contaminants and UV.
-Water Resistance: Lifetime Wetfast resistance to colour change after exposure to water. Impermeable to moisture.

Installation and Maintenance Summary

Maintenance: Cold water extraction recommended. No harsh chemicals are required further reducing indoor VOC and the down stream effects of chemical agents.

Installation: Use only the Lees Pressure Sensitive Adhesive this is low in VOC and allows for tile rotation.

Greenbuild has reviewed this product and confirms its potential contribution to points under the following credit categories:
 
IEQ-13Up to three points are awarded where it is demonstrated that various finishes meet the benchmarks for low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) content. One point is awarded for each criterion below that is achieved: • 95% of all painted surfaces are low-VOC paints OR no paint is used; • All carpets are low-VOC OR no carpet is installed; and/or • All adhesives and sealants are low-VOC OR no adhesives/sealants are used.
Mat-9One point is awarded where it can be demonstrated that 90% or more of the carpets used are independently certified as having lower environmental impact than standard carpets, as verified through a materials certification body recognised by the NZGBC (e.g. NZ Environmental Choice). If carpets are not part of the project’s contract/lease then this credit is ‘Not Applicable’
