Resene Quick Dry – Primer Undercoat – Exterior / Interior - Waterborne

Resene Quick Dry Acrylic Primer Undercoat provides long-term flexibility over unstable substrates coupled with exceptional durability even when left uncoated for prolonged periods. The latest formulation has enhanced flow and sanding characteristics for maximum benefit under waterborne enamels, such as Resene Enamacryl and Resene Lustacryl.

Application/Purpose

Typical uses:
• Architraves
• Bison board
• Block and brickwork
• Cement plaster
• Cloth and woven wallcoverings
• Customwood
• Particle and chipboard
• Repaint old work
• Timber (including Matai, Merbeau, Spotted Gum, Totara)
• Wallboards
• Wallpaper

Application:
Resene Quick Dry may be applied by brush, speed brush, synthetic fibre roller or spray. Spray application is generally not preferred for the first coat. See Resene Data Sheet D45 and product label for full details.

Limitations:
1. Do not apply at temperatures below 10°C, or when it is liable to drop below 10°C during the drying period.
2. Not designed as a first coat over metal surfaces or weak powdery surfaces.

Unwanted paint and paint containers can be returned to the Resene PaintWise paint and paint packaging recovery programme. Returns are donated to community groups, sent to solvent recovery, packaging is recycled and other paint goes into covering graffiti and research on alternative uses. See link to Resene PaintWise.

Installation and Maintenance Summary

Resene products are guaranteed to provide film integrity and adhesion for the expected life of the paint system. See the link for a full copy of the Resene Promise of quality, which includes details of the expected paint system life.

Maintenance: Avoid cleaning the paint finish until at least four weeks after application time to ensure it has had sufficient time to fully develop its properties. Keep any cleaning to a minimum to avoid damaging the paint film. Follow the care and cleaning instructions in the Resene Caring for your paint finish brochure.
