Cool Colour) – Gloss Acrylic/MIOX Paint – Exterior - Waterborne Resene Hi-Glo is a waterborne, full gloss, exterior decorative topcoat.Resene Hi-Glo is based on a unique 100% acrylic emulsion for ease of application and maximum life over primed timber and galvanised steel surfaces. Ideally suited for direct application to cementitious surfaces. Resene Hi-Glo is also available in a Resene Cool Colour variant. NB. Resene Cool Colours need to be clearly identified in both the product specification and colour schedule to ensure correct tinting is applied. Typical uses: • Aluminium • Block and brickwork • Concrete and plaster • Fibre cement • Galvanised steel roofing and cladding • Particleboard • Plywood • Repaints • Stucco/roughcast • Timber • UPVC surfaces • Weatherboards • Zincalume Application: Resene Hi-Glo may be applied by brush, speed brush, synthetic fibre roller or spray. See Resene Data Sheet D31 and product label for full details. Limitations: 1. Do not apply at temperatures below 10°C or when it is liable to drop below 10°C during the drying period. 2. Not normally used on opening sashes and doors - use Resene Enamacryl (see Resene Data Sheet D309) 3. Disconnect roof downpipes until after the first shower of rain in order to flush away surplus non-toxic wetting agents before the surface is used for the collection of drinking water. 4. Light colours are recommended for UPVC surfaces as dark shades will cause warping. 5. Not suitable for roof areas where water ponding occurs. 6. Spraying micaceous iron oxide colours will require an expert.

Cool colours reflect more heat than standard colours, reducing stress on the paint, substrate and building, reducing heat transference inside and minimizing the need for air conditioning. Unwanted paint and paint containers can be returned to the Resene PaintWise paint and paint packaging recovery programme. Returns are donated to community groups, sent to solvent recovery, packaging is recycled and other paint goes into covering graffiti and research on alternative uses. See link to Resene PaintWise.

Resene products are guaranteed to provide film integrity and adhesion for the expected life of the paint system. Maintenance: Avoid cleaning the paint finish until at least four weeks after application time to ensure it has had sufficient time to fully develop its properties.
