Resene Ceiling Paint – Flat Paint – Interior - Waterborne

Resene Ceiling Paint is a waterborne, flat, interior decorative ceiling topcoat.

Resene Ceiling Paint is recommended for use on ceilings of living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms where a flat finish is required. A very low odour, low splatter product.

Application/Purpose

Typical uses:
• Fibrous plaster
• Paperfaced plasterboard
• Plaster glass
• Repaints

Application:
Resene Ceiling Paint may be applied by brush, speed brush, synthetic fibre roller or spray. See Resene Data Sheet D305 and product label for full details.

Limitations:
1. Do not apply at temperatures below 10°C or when it is liable to drop below 10°C during the drying period.
2. Not recommended for use in bathrooms, kitchens or laundries - use Resene SpaceCote Flat (see Resene Data Sheet D314).
3. Will not penetrate chalking and powdery surfaces.

Unwanted paint and paint containers can be returned to the Resene PaintWise paint and paint packaging recovery programme. Returns are donated to community groups, sent to solvent recovery, packaging is recycled and other paint goes into covering graffiti and research on alternative uses. See link to Resene PaintWise.

Installation and Maintenance Summary

Resene products are guaranteed to provide film integrity and adhesion for the expected life of the paint system. See the link for a full copy of the Resene Promise of quality, which includes details of the expected paint system life.

Maintenance: Avoid cleaning the paint finish until at least four weeks after application time to ensure it has had sufficient time to fully develop its properties. IEQ-13	Up to three points are awarded where it is demonstrated that various finishes meet the benchmarks for low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) content. One point is awarded for each criterion below that is achieved: • 95% of all painted surfaces are low-VOC paints OR no paint is used; • All carpets are low-VOC OR no carpet is installed; and/or • All adhesives and sealants are low-VOC OR no adhesives/sealants are used.
Mat-10	One point is awarded where it can be demonstrated that 90% or more of the paints used are independently certified as having lower environmental impact than standard paints, as verified through a materials certification body recognised by the NZGBC (e.g. NZ Environmental Choice).
