Typical uses: • Air-dry (polymer based) stoppings and finishing compounds • Paperfaced plasterboard Application: Resene Broadwall Waterborne Wallboard Sealer may be applied by brush, speed brush, synthetic pile roller or spray. See Data Sheet D403 and product label for full details. Limitations: Not as good as Resene Sureseal in the areas of stain resistance or wet adhesion.
• Good adhesion and binding of air-dried stoppings. • Minimum fibre raising of paper. • Excellent hold-out of topcoats. • Very good opacity. • An Environmental Choice approved product. Unwanted paint and paint containers can be returned to the Resene PaintWise paint and paint packaging recovery programme. Returns are donated to community groups, sent to solvent recovery, packaging is recycled and other paint goes into covering graffiti and research on alternative uses. See link to Resene PaintWise.
Physical properties:. Vehicle type: Acrylic. Pigmentation: Titanium dioxide/extenders. Solvent: Water. Finish: Low sheen. Dry time: 2 hours at 18°C. Recoat time (minimum): 2 hours. Theoretical coverage: 12 sq. metres per litre. Dry film thickness: 36 microns at 12 sq. metres per litre. Usual no. of coats: 1. Abrasion resistance: Fair / Good. Chemical resistance: Good. Heat resistance: Good. Solvent resistance: Fair. Thinning and clean up: Water. Resene products are guaranteed to provide film integrity and adhesion for the expected life of the paint system. Maintenance: Avoid cleaning the paint finish until at least four weeks after application time to ensure it has had sufficient time to fully develop its properties.
