Resene Broadwall Waterborne Broadwall Sealer is a water reducible first coat for plasterboard walls and air-dry stoppings. Designed to minimise porosity and textural differences.

Application/Purpose

Typical uses:
• Air-dry (polymer based) stoppings and finishing compounds
• Paperfaced plasterboard

Application:
Resene Broadwall Waterborne Wallboard Sealer may be applied by brush, speed brush, synthetic pile roller or spray. See Data Sheet D403 and product label for full details.

Limitations:
Not as good as Resene Sureseal in the areas of stain resistance or wet adhesion.

Unwanted paint and paint containers can be returned to the Resene PaintWise paint and paint packaging recovery programme. Returns are donated to community groups, sent to solvent recovery, packaging is recycled and other paint goes into covering graffiti and research on alternative uses. See link to Resene PaintWise.

Installation and Maintenance Summary

Resene products are guaranteed to provide film integrity and adhesion for the expected life of the paint system. See the link for a full copy of the Resene Promise of quality, which includes details of the expected paint system life.

Maintenance: Avoid cleaning the paint finish until at least four weeks after application time to ensure it has had sufficient time to fully develop its properties. Keep any cleaning to a minimum to avoid damaging the paint film. Follow the care and cleaning instructions in the Resene Caring for your paint finish brochure.

One point is awarded for each criterion below that is achieved: • 95% of all painted surfaces are low-VOC paints OR no paint is used; • All carpets are low-VOC OR no carpet is installed; and/or • All adhesives and sealants are low-VOC OR no adhesives/sealants are used.
Mat-10	One point is awarded where it can be demonstrated that 90% or more of the paints used are independently certified as having lower environmental impact than standard paints, as verified through a materials certification body recognised by the NZGBC (e.g. NZ Environmental Choice).
