It equalises surface porosities; smoothes minor surface irregularities; minimises textural differences; and provides a perfect base for subsequent Resene finishes. A key element to achieving a level 5 finish on paperfaced plasterboard.Suitable for use as a surfacer, sealer and finish coat on ceilings in dry areas. Typical uses: • Air-dry (polymer based) stoppings and finishing compounds • Gypsum based stoppings and finishing compounds • Paperfaced plasterboard • Timber, reconstituted timber products Application: Best results are achieved with airless spray using a unit capable of achieving a flow rate of no less than 3 litres per minute such as a Graco Ultra 795 Mark II. A 527 tip is recommended for application to small areas while a 1227 tip is recommended for application to larger areas (tip sizes are minimum required for application). The use of 60 mesh gun and in line filters is recommended with a 3/8 hose from the spray unit. Power leads for unit operation must not exceed 20 metres. See Resene Data Sheet D810 and product label for full details. Limitations: 1. Not designed to fill large gaps or cracks (use an appropriate stopping or finishing compound). 2. Not designed to block waterborne stains. 3. Do not apply at temperatures below 10°C or when it is liable to drop below 10°C during the drying period. 4. Resene Broadwall 3 in 1 is designed to be overcoated on broadwall areas. 5. Not recommended for exterior use. 6. Must be sealed in wet areas before topcoating.
